We will take the next 30 days to read John’s gospel together. Take time to pray before you read, why not get a notebook and journal your thoughts and what God might be saying to you. Ask what changes the passage demands of us in terms of our relationship with God and one another. Here are some key questions you might want to answer in your journal.

  • What does this passage teach me about God’s character and nature
  • What does this passage teach me about humanity and myself
  • What is God revealing about his presence and work in my life right now

Let’s Pray

Give thanks to God for successful harvest services last week. Thank God for the way in which our two congregations came together for the joint service in Burnside. Pray that as we continue to find ways of working together that God would do wonderful things in the lives of the people that we minister to.

The autumn is always a busy time in the life of the church. Give thanks for the GB as we enrol our girls and leaders this week. Pray for Julie our captain as well as her team of leaders and officers. Pray for the girls and their families.

As we look forward over the next few weeks, we have our communion services coming up as well as the British Legion remembrance service. Pray that God would be glorified in each of those services.
