We will take the next 30 days to read John’s gospel together. Take time to pray before you read, why not get a notebook and journal your thoughts and what God might be saying to you. Ask what changes the passage demands of us in terms of our relationship with God and one another. Here are some key questions you might want to answer in your journal.

  • What does this passage teach me about God’s character and nature
  • What does this passage teach me about humanity and myself
  • What is God revealing about his presence and work in my life right now

Let’s Pray

It has been a sad week in the life of our congregation. Pray for Molly, John and all of the Murray family, Anne, Sarah, Roisin & Rebecca along with all of the Jack family; for Darren & Nial along with all of the Pollock family.

This evening’s joint harvest service in Burnside is a landmark moment in the life of our two congregations as we seek to find ways to proclaim Jesus Christ together. Pray not just for the service but for the continuing work we’re doing together. As we come to the end of our series, who is Jesus, pray that each of us would have a clearer picture and understanding of Jesus, pray that we would grow in our faith through this series.
