Let’s Pray
Friday night is our treasure hunt and Sunday our back to church Sunday. Over the last week and through this week folks have been out knocking doors inviting people to both the treasure hunt and to church. Pray for this weekend. Pray that God will have been calling people to come to church, to consider faith, to trust in Christ.
Pray for the service on Sunday morning. We will be asking the question: Who is Jesus? The answer to that question next Sunday is that Jesus comes to us. Jesus bridges the gap between us and God, he meets us where we are, he becomes like us. Pray that this message will resonate with people.
Amid all of the focus on encouraging people back into church, or to come for the first time, we should also give thanks to God for the people who have come back in recent weeks and months. Thank God that he has been answering our prayers and so be encouraged as you pray this week.
