We will take the next 40 days to discover the promises of the gospel given through the some of the Old Testament prophets. Take time to pray before you read, why not get a notebook and journal your thoughts and what God might be saying to you. Ask what changes the passage demands of us in terms of our relationship with God and one another. Here are some key questions you might want to answer in your journal.
- What does this passage teach me about God’s character and nature
- What does this passage teach me about humanity and myself
- What is God revealing about his presence and work in my life right now

Let’s Pray
There are a number of people who are struggling with health problems within our congregation this Christmas. Pray for all who will be celebrating with a shadow hanging over the celebrations.
Next Sunday Stuart is preaching in New Row Presbyterian and the minister of New Row, Jonny McKane, will be preaching in Portstewart. Pray for Jonny as he prepares to come and visit with us. Pray that he will know God’s presence in worship and be encouraged through being here.
