What can you expect in the church over the next few Sundays?
The first thing to know is the first part of the service will be very much family orientated. Everyone will be in church together at the beginning of the service. We will begin with some family praise (there might even be the odd action we have to join in with.) We will spend time with our children introducing the story they will be learning in Treasure Hunters. During this part of the service we will teach our children the importance of prayer as we encourage them to pray the Lord’s Prayer as part of our church family.

When the children leave for Treasure Hunters the rest of us will begin to go a little deeper in worship and bible reading. We will sing a couple of songs helping us to focus on the majesty and holiness of God as well as reading the bible and praying together. Over the next six weeks the sermon will based on the question ‘Who is Jesus?’ If you want to think ahead and read the passages ahead of time they are available below.

After we have thought about the bible reading for the day we spend a short time in prayer and we sing songs that help us to reflect on what we have heard and hopefully encourage us to make the changes in our lives that God is asking of us.

We do have an offering in our service, an opportunity for us to give something back to God out of thanks for all he has given us. The offering is very much part of our worship, it is not an entrance fee into the church. If you would like to contribute, no matter how little or how much we simply ask that you do so out of thanks and gratitude to God. If you are unable to give, or if you simply forgot to bring something with you, then please just let the plate pass you by.
After the service we are able to pick our children up from Treasure Hunters and there is also opportunity to stay for a cup of tea and a biscuit in the rooms behind the church.
We do hope you will join us on Sunday 7th September. As a church we will be delighted to welcome you and share with you some of the answers that God has revealed to us as to who Jesus is.
