We will take the next 40 days to discover the promises of the gospel given through the some of the Old Testament prophets. Take time to pray before you read, why not get a notebook and journal your thoughts and what God might be saying to you. Ask what changes the passage demands of us in terms of our relationship with God and one another. Here are some key questions you might want to answer in your journal.
- What does this passage teach me about God’s character and nature
- What does this passage teach me about humanity and myself
- What is God revealing about his presence and work in my life right now

Let’s Pray
Thank God for his faithfulness over what has been a busy time for our church; we have had a number of special services one after the other.
The congregational committee meets this week. Pray for the committee, thank God for them and pray that as we plan to hold an election for a new committee in January that God would be at work calling those whom he has chosen.
Continue to pray for ways in which each of us can serve God, one another and our community.
