This Sunday will be a special day in the life of Portstewart Presbyterian Church, as our morning service will be broadcast live on BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Radio Foyle. It’s both a privilege and a wonderful opportunity to share our worship with listeners across Northern Ireland and beyond.
We’re inviting everyone in our congregation and the local community to join us in person for this meaningful occasion. As the service will be broadcast live, we kindly ask that everyone be seated by 8.30am to allow the BBC production team time to make final preparations before the service begins.
Broadcast services are always a little different from a regular Sunday morning gathering. There’s a sense of excitement, but also of reverence, an awareness that as we worship together in Portstewart, we’re also connecting with thousands of others listening from their homes, cars, and churches across the country. It’s a reminder that the church of Jesus Christ is not confined to any one building or location; it’s a living, breathing community of faith that spans generations and geography.
The service will follow our usual pattern of heartfelt worship, prayer, and reflection, led by Rev. Stuart Morrow, with music from our talented choir and musicians. Together, we’ll lift our voices in praise and share a message of hope and faith rooted in God’s Word. For those unable to attend in person, the broadcast will allow many more to experience the warmth and welcome of our church family here in Portstewart.
As we prepare for this special service, we want to express our gratitude to all those who have worked behind the scenes, from the BBC production team to our musicians, readers, stewards, and technical volunteers. Their dedication ensures that everything runs smoothly and that our time of worship reflects both excellence and authenticity.
We’d love to see our church filled with members, friends, and visitors on Sunday morning. Your presence not only encourages those taking part but also helps create a warm atmosphere of community and praise that will be felt by those listening on air. Whether you’re a long-time member or someone who hasn’t been to church in a while, this is a wonderful opportunity to come along and be part of something special.
Please join us as we celebrate this unique occasion together Portstewart Presbyterian Church, Sunday morning, 8.30am. Let’s fill our church with worship, fellowship, and joy as we share the Good News of Jesus Christ across the airwaves.
